In 1993, Maurice and Karen Dery founded Karice Lighting in Canada with a simple belief: light should be created and not simply purchased. Maurice, a Red Seal ironworker and machinist, brought technical expertise and craftsmanship. Karen, an artist, brought creativity and vision. Together, they began designing and building custom lighting by hand.

What started as a small family business has grown into a manufacturer trusted by leading architects, lighting designers, interior designers, and engineers. Today, Karice designs, engineers, and manufactures custom architectural and decorative lighting for projects across the globe.

While the company has grown, the philosophy remains unchanged. Every fixture is rooted in original design, thoughtful engineering, exceptional craftsmanship, and careful attention to the details that define extraordinary lighting. Along the way, Karice’s work has been recognized internationally through design awards and exhibitions.
