Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, this is exactly what we do. Send your sketch or any information you have to info@karice.com, and we’ll walk you through our custom process, from concept to finished fixture.

Every Karice fixture is custom made to order. Our fixtures are designed and engineered in-house in British Columbia, Canada, and manufactured at either our Canadian facility or one of our over-seas facilities with an extensive final quality check before they ship.

Because every fixture is made to order, we confirm lead times per project. Timing depends on final drawing approval, fixture complexity, certification, and shipping method. Once your drawings are approved, we’ll give you a realistic schedule — and if a project needs to move faster, we’ll review the options with your team. Typical lead times are 12-16 weeks.

A 50% deposit begins your order, and shop drawings start once the deposit is received. The balance is due before shipment. Freight, crating, and samples are quoted separately.

Karice fixtures carry a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects from the date of shipment.

Karice certifies custom fixtures to each project’s requirements. The certification entails, but not limited to: UL, CSA, ETL, QAI, or TUV, confirmed per project.

Yes, Karice supports a very broad finish range. Send us the target sample or reference and we’ll confirm feasibility and provide a sample for your approval (samples are quoted separately).

Often, yes. Rather than changing the design, we review value engineering options — material, finish, size, internal structure, and driver configuration, that reduce cost while keeping the design intent. Share your target and we’ll come back with practical options.

Karice is supply-only. We provide installation guidance, documentation, and support during installation; site conditions, wiring, and installation labor are the contractor’s responsibility.

Our fixtures target CRI 90+ and support the common control types: 0-10V, DALI-2, DMX, phase, TRIAC, and ELV — with compatibility confirmed per project against your driver, load, voltage, and control system. Send your control requirements to info@karice.com and we’ll confirm the right setup.

In many cases, yes — photometric (IES) and drawing files are available depending on the fixture. Tell us the fixture or project and the format you need, and our team will send what we have: info@karice.com.
