Layered Enneagons Pendant Lights Across a High-Ceiling Workspace
At the Arc’teryx office in Vancouver, our signature Luxennea fixture takes shape as a series of suspended nine-sided forms.
Luxennea (“LUX” for light and “ennea” for nine) is built around the geometry of an enneagon. For this project, we adapted Luxennea into a layered arrangement of geometric pendants; A smaller enneagon is suspended within the larger illuminated frame.
The fixtures repeat through the tall, open interior rather than being grouped into a single large chandelier. From below, the nested geometry is especially clear: two angular outlines, one inside the other, with open space through the centre.
That openness helps the custom geometric lights maintain their scale without creating a solid mass overhead. Against the white ceiling, the dark framing also makes the illuminated edges and nine-sided silhouette easy to read.
