Glowing Spheres Woven Through a Sculptural Chandelier
We worked with artist Marie Khouri to create a modern sculptural chandelier for a Vancouver residence that brings lighting and art together in one suspended piece.
The light artโs composition is deliberately free-flowing. And our role at Karice was to bring illumination into the artwork while keeping the sculptural character intact. Rather than treating the lights as separate additions, the glowing spheres sit within the composition itself and become part of the entire sculptural lighting.
That relationship between light and form is what gives the artistic chandelier its presence. The illuminated spheres draw the eye through the piece, while the surrounding lines and open shapes give it movement and depth.
The finished custom chandelier works as both a source of light and a suspended artwork. This project brought our lighting expertise together with Khouriโs sculptural approach to create something distinctly site-specific.
