Four Tiers of Angled Light Floating Through a Florida Residence
This private Florida residence had the room for something substantial. When the client approached us with an initial sketch for a custom chandelier, we saw an opportunity to push the scale further.
Using the room photos along with plan and elevation drawings, the Karice team developed a larger version in AutoCAD. The sloped geometry took cues from our signature Diamond Luxennea, but the fixture itself became a four-tiered square composition designed specifically for this home.
The finished large custom chandelier steps down through four illuminated squares, from 5 feet by 5 feet at the largest tier to 2 feet by 2 feet at the smallest. Each section was made using our proprietary 3-inch aluminum extrusion, with the LED light directed downward at a 45-degree angle. That angle improves the downward illumination while giving this tiered chandelier its distinctive sloped profile.
Aircraft cables suspend the four sections independently, leaving open space between them and giving the composition a floating appearance. The result is a dramatic sculptural chandelier with enough scale for the room, but a relatively open structure that keeps the individual tiers clearly defined.
What began as a hand sketch became a fully developed statement chandelier, shaped around the proportions of the residence rather than forcing the original concept into a space that could accommodate much more.
