A Two-Tier Custom Chandelier Above a Residence’ Outdoor Entry
Working with Madeleine Design Group, we fabricated this custom outdoor chandelier for the main entry of a private residence in Canada.
The fixture uses two rectangular illuminated frames suspended at different levels: a larger frame sits above a smaller one. This gives the exterior chandelier its stepped, two-tier profile.
Seen from the approach to the house, the chandelier lines up with the strong horizontal and vertical lines of the entry architecture. Up close, the separation between the two frames becomes more apparent, adding depth without making the fixture visually dense.
This outdoor hanging chandelier was developed specifically for the entry, using a simple linear form at a scale that suits the tall glazed façade and timber canopy.
