Cone-Shaped Lights Branch Across a Sculptural Chandelier
At Scott Landon Antiques & Interiors’ office in Surrey, Karice’s Harmony fixture stretches across the room, branching out with six cone-shaped lights.
Harmony was originally designed around the idea of two triads coming together around one focal point. For this project, we customized that concept while keeping the six-light composition and intersecting arms that make the fixture recognizable.
The sculptural chandelier’s shades add a layer to the design. Their tapered shape continues the direction of each arm, while the warm light inside creates contrast against the darker frame. And even with its wide span, this cone chandelier still feels visually open because so much of the structure is made up of slender lines and negative space.
The finished custom chandelier brings a sculptural, mid-century presence to Scott Landon’s office interior without turning it into a heavy overhead form.
