A Multi-Storey Lighting Installation That Connects the Space
Designed for White & Case’s downtown Los Angeles office, this custom lighting installation transforms the central staircase into a defining architectural feature. Rather than treating each floor independently, the design creates a continuous visual connection that guides visitors through the space while reinforcing the openness of the multi-storey atrium.
Karice engineered and manufactured a fully bespoke suspended lighting system spanning more than 28 feet across three levels. A carefully composed arrangement of illuminated cylinders and custom half-moon pendants creates depth, movement, and rhythm, allowing the installation to be appreciated from every floor and every viewpoint.
From the custom-finished ceiling canopy to the precise suspension of every illuminated element, every detail was engineered to integrate seamlessly with the surrounding architecture. The result is a striking vertical installation that strengthens the identity of the space while delivering elegant architectural illumination throughout the atrium.
