A Central Foyer Shaped by Custom Lighting and Architectural Metalwork
Crofton House Schoolโs central foyer brings lighting and metalwork into one clear architectural sequence.
The stairwell pendant lights add height and rhythm through the main circulation space. And the ceiling fixture anchors the lower foyer. Around them, the railings and terrazzo framework complete the composition.
Stairwell Pendant Lighting and Curved Railings
The stairwell is lit by cylindrical pendant lights suspended through the central foyer. Each fixture adds a clean vertical line through the stairwell – present, but never competing with the wood ceiling, railings, or millwork around it.
The railings, designed by John Verchomin of Cornerstone Architecture, carry that same movement through the space. Employed by The Haebler Group, our team supplied and installed the architectural metalwork. Thus, the pendant lighting and the railing details came together as one coordinated foyer feature.
Circular Recessed Ceiling Lighting and Terrazzo Detail
The foyer ceiling lighting sits flush in a broad circular form, washing the entry area below in soft, even light. It stays clean within the ceiling plane, and its shape echoes the terrazzo floor detail directly beneath it. We also manufactured two 12-foot-diameter aluminum frameworks for the terrazzo flooring.ย
With these, the ceiling feature, the floor detail, and the surrounding metalwork all align around the same geometry.
