Custom Lighting Designed Around the Social Hub
The central bar at The Morris Proper Restaurant serves as the heart of the space, requiring a lighting solution that could unify the architecture while supporting the energy and function of a busy hospitality environment. Rather than introducing a single decorative fixture, the design called for an integrated lighting installation that would become part of the architecture itself.
Karice engineered and manufactured a custom lighting system spanning more than 24 feet by 14 feet, creating a structured framework of illuminated glass cylinders suspended above the bar. The repeated arrangement establishes rhythm throughout the space, drawing guests toward the center while reinforcing the clean architectural lines of the interior.
Balancing aesthetics with performance, each illuminated cylinder provides soft, comfortable illumination for both guests and staff. The finished installation delivers a distinctive visual identity that feels intentional from every angle, transforming the bar into a memorable architectural feature while enhancing the overall dining experience.
