Two Signature Chandeliers Shaping the DXD Events Experience
For this DXD Events dinner, our custom lighting featured two Karice signature fixtures: Sprocket and Chain, and the Luxennea Diamond. One is mechanical and industrial. The other is faceted and geometric.
Together, they gave the event space two distinct visual anchors through engineered metalwork and controlled illumination.
Custom Gear LED Chandelier: Sprocket and Chain
Sprocket and Chain is Karice’s signature LED sculptural chandelier, originally designed by Maurice Dery, founder of and currently consultant to Karice Lighting. For DXD Events, this industrial chandelier was scaled and finished to a 10-foot by 10-foot footprint, built around a functioning gear concept.
At the center sits a 5-foot stainless steel sprocket, finished to look like it’s seen real wear, with chain sections in aluminum and acrylic completing the assembly around it. The whole thing floats: suspended by aircraft cables, with power cables and fasteners concealed so nothing distracts from the gear, chain, and illuminated body.
With its scale, the chandelier became the visual anchor of the event space, giving the room an industrial centrepiece big enough to hold its own against the venue.
Florentine Diamond Chandelier: Luxennea Diamond
For this project, we created the Diamond Luxennea in two tiers: 7-foot and 5-foot diameter sections, with angled sides pointing downward at 45 degrees. The design draws on the nine-sided geometry of the Florentine Diamond.
Suspended by aircraft cables, the two-tiered chandelier maintained a clean overhead profile while keeping the focus on its continuous illuminated geometry. Diamond Luxennea brought a sharper, faceted geometric layer to the installation.
Custom Suspended Pendant Lights
Suspended ring pendant lights were also added for a smaller lighting layer within the event environment. These brought vertical movement and warm points of light across the space.
