CNC-Machined Links Give Rope Lighting More Flexibility
When Luke Kelly of Luke Lamp Co. came to us with his Langhorne Collection, he was already making the rope light fixtures himself. The issue was the hardware. The components he had available weren’t giving him the flexibility or finish he wanted.
That gave our team a very specific job: improve the connections.
We designed and CNC-machined new ends and links in custom anodized aluminum. These custom lighting components gave the sections of rope lighting a purpose-built way to connect and made the fixture easier to reshape into different sculptural configurations.
Instead of redesigning Luke’s original lighting concept, we focused on the parts that made it work. The result kept the character of the Langhorne Collection while giving the rope light fixture a more refined and adaptable connection system.
