A Layered Lighting Interior Built Around Two Distinct Chandeliers
The lighting at Earls Cherry Creek in Denver runs two different chandelier styles through the same space. One is warm and reflective. The other is bolder and more open.
The trick was making both feel like they belong in the same room, without losing what makes each one distinct.
Large Edison Bulb Chandeliers with Bronze Mirrors
Working with the Earls Design Team, we built the large Edison bulb chandeliers around a wide ring, with exterior-mounted Edison bulbs around it. We planned the bulb spacing and mirror placement together, so every reflection reads as another bulb in the fixture, not just a bounce of light.
That’s what makes it a unique chandelier: exposed bulbs, doubled by the mirrors, with real presence over the room. Custom glass-framed table lamps carry the same Edison bulb look into the foyer, just on a different scale.
Large Black Wagon Wheel Chandeliers
The second chandelier style takes a more industrial turn. We built large black wagon wheel chandeliers with open circular frames. Then, we spread vertical cylindrical lights across the rings instead of bunching them around the edge. That spread gives the room a wider field of downward light.
Suspended one after another through the dining area, the wagon wheel chandeliers carry the room’s length, echoing the same black hardware in the ceiling slats and metal screens nearby.
