A Flagship Restaurant Defined by Custom Industrial Lighting
Earls Tin Palace in Edmonton needed a renovation with more grit: more metal, more structure, more industrial character.
The Earls Design Team developed a bold direction for the flagship Jasper Avenue location. Karice helped bring that vision into buildable form through custom decorative lighting, fixture engineering, and metalwork.
Large Industrial Chandelier for the Dining Room
The lighting for the restaurant dining area measured 11 feet by 45 feet. At this scale, it becomes a full ceiling composition rather than a standard fixture.
We engineered and built this industrial chandelier lighting with eighteen faux beams and twenty-three lights inspired by crane trucks. The clear-coated black iron gives the fixture its weight, texture, and raw industrial edge.
Rather than a typical decorative fixture, this custom chandelier stretches across the full dining area, giving the room a strong overhead framework.
Custom Whisk Pendant Lights Over the Bar
The second fixture installed at the bar-height table took a more playful approach.
We built a custom bar chandelier using commercial kitchen mixing whisks as shades around each bulb. Each whisk light had to fit precisely around its bulb, so we structured the spacing, suspension, and support to keep the whole fixture balanced over the table.
The finished bespoke whisk pendant lighting brings a culinary detail into the lighting itself. It gives the bar area a different, yet consistent tone from the large dining room installation. Karice also created the industrial glass windows for the space, extending the custom metalwork beyond the two lighting features.
